Government claims that more renewable energy will reduce household bills have been dismissed as “bullshit” by an Independent councillor, who warned that there have been cases of foreign-owned wind farms successfully blocking rural housing developments.
Speaking in an interview with Gript this week, Cork Independent Cllr. William O’Leary said that rural communities are currently being “completely overrun” by energy applications.
