There was a brief moment, just before he was taken into custody, when a startled-looking DJ Carey seemed to realise his time was up. Judge Martin Nolan had just announced that he would pass his sentence on Monday, and that the accused would be remanded until then.
It was inevitable, the judge warned, that Carey would be receiving a custodial sentence. For the man known as ‘The Dodger’, there would be no avoiding jail.
