Jameel Motors enters Iraq with new OMODA & JAECOO showroom in Erbil

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) — Jameel Motors has officially joined the Iraqi automobile industry by opening a new OMODA & JAECOO store in Erbil.

The new store will serve OMODA and JAECOO consumers as Jameel Motors establishes a foothold in Iraq, a market recognized as critical to the company’s regional expansion strategy.

Jameel Motors, part of the international mobility sector brand of Saudi Arabia’s Abdul Latif Jameel, stated that it hopes to build a long-term presence in Iraq, with plans that go beyond car sales to include local alliances, customer service, and more investment in the country’s automotive industry.

The company also hinted that other brands and showrooms may follow as it increases its Iraqi business and the variety of automobiles offered to local purchasers.

Jameel Motors executives also met with Mohammed Shukri, Chairman of the Kurdistan Regional Government Board of Investment, to explore investment prospects and the economic climate in the Kurdistan Region.

Yousef Hussein, CEO of Jameel Motors’ Middle East and Levant division, KRG Minister of State for Component Affairs Aydin Maruf Selim, Erbil Chamber of Commerce Vise President Kamaran Salah Bajger, dealers, and other industry officials attended the event.

As competition in Iraq’s automobile industry heats up, Jameel Motors has partnered with OMODA and JAECOO, two Chinese automotive firms extending their worldwide reach.

The Erbil showroom represents the first step of Jameel Motors’ growth in Iraq, with the business contemplating more investments as it expands its local dealer and customer network.
