Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Iraq’s Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced on Monday, October 19, 2026, that the electronic admissions portal for international school graduates applying to public universities will open within the coming days for the 2026–2027 academic year.
According to a ministerial press release obtained by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), admissions processing will be managed through the centralized digital application platform Qaddim.
Eligible candidates graduating from accredited international curricula within Iraq will access the admissions system using their standardized examination sequence number and confidential verification credentials issued directly by their respective school administrations.
The ministry advised prospective students and guardians to monitor its official web portal and recognized digital channels for forthcoming regulatory guidelines, grade-weighting criteria, and precise application submission schedules.
The upcoming portal launch represents an institutional mechanism to integrate international school diploma holders into national university admissions channels alongside graduates of the standard ministerial secondary baccalaureate examinations.
