Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath distributed appointment letters to 912 selected candidates for various clerical and confidential posts in the state police at an event in Lucknow on Sunday. The programme was held at Lok Bhawan at 11 am.

The 912 selected candidates include those recruited for the posts of Police Sub-Inspector (Confidential), Assistant Sub-Inspector (Clerk) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (Accounts).

The programme was held a few months ahead of the state’s crucial 2027 Assembly election, with the Yogi Adityanath government also preparing to launch a fresh recruitment drive for the Home Guard department.

UP TO FILL 7,600 HOME GUARD POSTS

The state government is preparing to recruit 7,600 candidates for vacant posts in the Home Guards department.

The recruitment process has already been initiated following directions from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, with preparations for the recruitment being expedited.

The department will soon issue a recruitment advertisement for the posts.

The recruitment drive is being undertaken as part of the government’s efforts to provide employment opportunities to young people in the state.
