Taking a leaf out of West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress chairperson Mamata Banerjee’s campaign book, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday (April 12, 2026) said that all Bharatiya Janata Party candidates contesting the State Assembly election were “Modi”.

“You all are Modi for me. All these candidates are also Modi. In the past 70 years, you gave everyone a chance, you gave Congress a chance, you gave Trinamool a chance. Now give Modi a chance,” the Prime Minister said, addressing a public meeting at Siliguri in Darjeeling district.
