For months, former MP Vijay Sai Reddy had spoken of entering the media business, making many assume that it would be an ambitious digital platform and, later, a Telugu satellite news channel.
In April 2026, he said the network would publish in Telugu, Hindi and English, remain independent of political parties, and focus on issues concerning ordinary citizens, women, youth, farmers and workers.
The first visible product, however, appears to be VOICE, a weekly magazine, rather than the digital or television operation many imagined.
If its early pages concentrate on politics while much of the magazine is devoted to cinema and entertainment with steamy pictures, readers may ask how closely it matches the journalistic vision Reddy described.
A general-interest magazine would also normally offer sections on business, sports, society and public affairs.
That contrast creates the central question; what exactly is VOICE intended to become? Is it a first step toward the promised digital network and television channel, or the final format? Reddy had spoken of giving people a voice and highlighting public issues.
Future editions will show whether that promise develops into a news platform or remains a limited publication.
For now, many who expected something substantial from him are observing two minutes of silence.
