Rain is wreaking havoc in Uttarakhand these days. First, floods wreaked havoc in the plains like Dehradun, Rishikesh, and Haridwar. Then, rain fell like a disaster on Nandanagar in Chamoli district. The cloudburst in Nandanagar caused significant damage. Many houses were razed to the ground. Many people are still missing, and the search for them is ongoing. Police, administration, SDRF, and NDRF personnel are engaged in rescue operations. In such circumstances, the rain is frightening everyone.
The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast today. According to the Meteorological Department’s forecast, light to moderate rain is possible in the hilly districts. These districts include Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Nainital, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, and Udham Singh Nagar on September 19, 2025.
Heavy rain and lightning are likely in these districts. The Meteorological Department has predicted a change in weather and lightning in all districts of the state. Therefore everyone has been asked to remain alert.
