Modern farm machinery backed by government subsidies is transforming agriculture and improving earnings for farmers in Uttar Pradesh. Mawana farmer Nand Kishore received a 24 lakh rupee subsidy from the Uttar Pradesh government to buy 42 lakh rupees worth of equipment, including a tractor, super seeder, and baler. The mechanisation has halved operational time and reduced reliance on manual labour, while renting out machinery earns him an extra four to five lakh rupees annually.

Another farmer, Puneet Yadav, utilised a 50 per cent subsidy to procure essential farming implements for his 60 bighas of land. Government schemes continue to help farmers enhance agricultural efficiency and create supplementary revenue streams.
