Schools are required to complete registration of these students by this new deadline. In case any corrections or updates are needed, schools will be allowed to view the details between Sept 28 and 30 and can modify or revise the submitted details between Oct 1 and 4. This extended period aims to ensure that all student data is accurate and complete before final submission. The deadline for the institution head to deposit the examination fees of all eligible students of Class 10 and 12 in the treasury through challan now stands at Sept 27. The deadline for uploading the information about the academic details of the students online on the Council’s website, upmsp.edu.in, was earlier Sept 12 to 30 and now stands at Oct 5 to 8.The UP Board is set to enforce stringent rules for centre allocation. In a proposal sent to state govt, the Board has recommended that schools lacking proper or functional laboratories should not be designated as examination centres. As per the new guidelines, schools offering science courses must have active laboratories for subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Similarly, schools offering Humanities courses must have laboratories for subjects like Computer Science, Geography, and Home Science. The Board has received numerous complaints regarding schools that, although they received subject approval, either do not have the required laboratories or have labs that are non-operational. In many cases, essential equipment, chemicals, and materials for practical work are either missing or have not been replenished for years. As a result, while students are being taught theoretical knowledge, they are missing out on vital hands-on experience.Bhagwati Singh, the Secretary of the Board, has recommended that having a fully functional laboratory be made a mandatory criteria for centre allocation process. This would apply to 2026 examinations. For the 2026 board exams, the proposal also includes giving priority to schools that maintain an online attendance system, further tightening the requirements for centre designation.
