Union Minister of State for Steel and Heavy Industries Bhupathiraju Srinivas Varma on Monday inaugurated a dialysis centre at Attili in the West Godavari district.

The National Mineral Development Corporation has offered ₹1 crore aid under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), while the Lions Club and other donors donated ₹80 lakh for the dialysis centre equipped with seven dialysis machines. The next nearby dialysis centre is in Tanuku government hospital, where ten machines are functional.

Mr. Varma has announced that dialysis centres will be set up in all seven Assembly constituencies of the Narsapuram parliamentary segment. “The free dialysis centres will minimise the treatment cost for those suffering from kidney ailments,” he said.
