The bodies of two construction workers were found in an agricultural well on the outskirts of Chintakunta village in Kathalapur mandal, Jagtial district.
Police identified the men as Anand, 23, and Sanjeev, 22, who were from Vinukonda in Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district. They had been working as construction labourers.
The duo arrived on a motorcycle on the outskirts of the village on Tuesday night. Police said they may have slipped into the well while sitting on its edge and drowned.
Local residents found the bodies and alerted the police. Kathalapur Sub-Inspector Ravikiran attended the scene, registered a case and began an investigation.
