In a ghastly road accident occurred in Chittoor district, as many as three people died and five others sustained severe injuries in the incident, which took place near Kadapalli in Shanthipuram Mandal.

According to the details, a tempo traveling on the Kuppam-Palamaner route collided with a drinking water tanker and a motorcycle parked by the side of the national highway near Kadapalli.

The deceased were identified as Sundarappa (60) and Muni Venkatamma (50)—residents of Beerana Kuppam village in Shanthipuram Mandal who were on the motorcycle—and a four-year-old child standing near the water tanker died on the spot. Five others were critically injured. Locals rushed the injured to the hospital in Kuppam.
