Prayagraj: Three hearing and speech-impaired ragpickers, including two women and a man, were found dead under mysterious circumstances inside a rented room in the Gari Kala area on Leader Road under the Shahganj police station limits on Tuesday. Police suspect the trio may have fought among themselves, though the exact cause of death will be known after the postmortem examination.DCP (City) Maneesh Shandilya told TOI that the identities of all three deceased are yet to be established. The DCP added that preliminary investigations suggest the three may have fought among themselves, resulting in their deaths. The landlord also failed to establish their identities.Neighbours claimed they had heard noises from the room late Monday and found the bodies inside the room on Tuesday. Police have constituted multiple teams to investigate the case.Among the deceased, a man and one of the women were a couple, while the other woman was a frequent visitor to the rented accommodation. All three were believed to be between 35 and 40 years of age.
