Preparations for the second phase of Adi Kailash Yatra 2025 have begun. Depending on the weather conditions, Inner line permits will be issued for the Yatra from September 15. People from across the country are keen for the resumption of the Yatra.
The first phase of Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Darshan Yatra was conducted from May to July. In the first phase, more than 50 thousand people had visited Adi Kailash and Om Parvat. The period till September 15 is declared as disaster period in the state.
During this time, the Yatra has been stopped in view of the possibility of landslides and road blockage in the high Himalayan region. There are chances of monsoon leaving in the first week of September. In view of this, preparations are being made to start the Yatra again from September 15.
Dharchula Sub-Divisional Magistrate Jitendra Verma said that people from across the country are demanding to start the Yatra through internet media and other means. For this, the end of monsoon period is being awaited.
He said that it is being considered to issue Inner Line Permit from September 15. If there is no rain, permits will be issued from this date. He said that the condition of Tawaghat and Lipulekh road will be fine in the first week of September. In the second phase, the journey will be organised till 30th October.
