The Telangana government has introduced a new ‘Employee Health Care Trust’ aimed at enhancing medical security for government employees and pensioners. To implement this scheme, the State Finance Department has issued urgent instructions to all government departments. The scheme aims to provide comprehensive healthcare services to employees, pensioners, and their families, ensuring greater transparency and efficiency through the dedicated trust.
A special drive has been launched to collect complete information on employees across the state. All employees and pensioners are now required to submit detailed data, including information about their family members, such as spouses and children. This data is crucial for availing benefits like cashless medical treatment and other healthcare services.
Officials have been ordered to upload the details onto the IFMIS-HR portal by 31 May. Failure to comply may result in difficulties accessing future health benefits. The government’s move is seen as a step towards strengthening health security and resolving issues within existing medical schemes. Employee associations have welcomed the initiative, which is expected to facilitate faster medical services and better welfare for government staff.
