Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has accused central government government of not acting in good faith with the Women’s Reservation Bill. He claimed that, under the pretext of three bills, a conspiracy was hatched to implement delimitation and alter the Constitution.
Revanth alleged that the BJP had conspired to deprive the South of its rights and had been thwarted on the floor of the Lok Sabha thanks to opposition unity. He described this as not just a political setback but a defeat for BJP policies.
He pointed out that the Women’s Reservation Bill had already been passed and could be implemented with minor amendments.
Revanth called on the BJP to implement the 2023 Women’s Reservation Bill in its original form, with the support of the INDIA alliance. He assured he would personally work to garner support from southern states. The Chief Minister asserted demanded their implementation before the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections.
