Visakhapatnam: A major explosion occurred at the Dakshina Energy Industry located in the Industrial Park claimed two lives in Anakapalli district.

The industry is located adjacent to the Jawaharlal Nehru Pharma City at Parawada on Tuesday morning.

According to preliminary information, the deceased were identified as Venkatesh, a native of Govada village in Chodavaram mandal, and Thiriadh, a resident of Atchutapuram.

The sudden explosion at the company triggered panic among workers and led to an emergency response at the site.

The fire erupted after a tank exploded during the plastic waste recycling process at the company’s facility.

The flames spread rapidly traping workers inside the plant.
