Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Friday released the first copy of A Sun from the South jointly published by the Tamil Nadu Textbook and Educational Services Corporation and KSL Media. The original Tamil work Therkilirunthu Oru Sooriyan has been translated into English by journalist Vijayasankar Ramachandran. Minister for School Education Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi and senior officials were also present.

In another event, the CM also handed over to the managing trustee of Nagore dargah a copy of the order to supply 45 kg of sandalwood free of cost to Nagore dargah for celebrating the Periya Andavar Kandoori festival this year. Ministers S.M. Nasar and Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi; MLA J. Mohamed Shanavas, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam and senior officials were also present.

In the Secretariat campus, the CM also flagged off 45 new vehicles for the use of officials of the Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicine under the Health and Family Welfare Department procured at a cost of ₹4 crore.
