Six killed, two seriously injured in car-truck collision

Six persons were killed and two persons were seriously injured in a car-truck collision near at Taticharla Motu village in Komarolu mandal of Prakasam district on Friday (May 23). The locals informed 108 ambulance service and the injured persons were shifted to Giddaluru Government Hospital. According to them, the accident took place while the victims were returning from Mahanandi.

Minister for Social Welfare Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy said: “The death of six people in the road accident has deeply shaken me. It is sad to know that they died while returning from a holy place. My deepest condolences to the families of the deceased people. I will ensure better treatment for the injured persons.”

Expressing shock over the accident, Minister for Energy Gottipati Ravi Kumar directed the officials to provide better medical treatment to the injured. He extended his deep condolences to the families of the deceased persons. He spoke to the District Superintendent of Police and other officials to inquire more details about the accident.

Minister for Transport Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy also inquired about the road accident. He ordered the officials to take immediate relief measures to the injured persons. He directed the transport officials to take necessary measures for the road safety in the region.
