Preparations were underway for the annual Urs festival at Sofi Nagar Dargah in Nirmal district, with organisers expressing confidence that the event would be conducted successfully and on a grand scale.

DargahPeethadhipathiSajjadNaseem and the Mutawalli appealed to devotees and the public to extend their support for the smooth conduct of the festival, which was scheduled to be held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th of the coming month. Posters announcing the Urs celebrations were formally released in Nirmal as part of the promotional activities.

Addressing the gathering, SajjadNaseem stated that the Urs festival had been celebrated with great devotion every year, drawing large numbers of devotees not only from Telangana but also from neighbouring Maharashtra. He said that elaborate arrangements had been made under the supervision of the Urs festival committee to ensure that pilgrims did not face any inconvenience during the event.
