Rudraprayag: A job fair organized by the District Employment Office, Rudraprayag, on Thursday, September 24 provided local unemployed youth with an opportunity to connect with prospective employers and explore various career options.

The employment fair was held at the District Office auditorium under the directives of District Magistrate Vishal Mishra. A total of 121 candidates participated in the recruitment drive, of whom 12 candidates were selected, while 26 were shortlisted for final selection.

District Employment Officer Sushil Chamoli said that several reputed companies participated in the fair and interacted with job seekers. Representatives of the participating organizations briefed candidates about available vacancies, job profiles, career prospects, eligibility requirements and the selection process.

The Employment Department, along with representatives of the participating companies, also provided career counselling and employment guidance to the candidates. Chamoli said the selection process was carried out on the basis of candidates’ qualifications and the vacancies available with the participating employers.

During the event, employers held direct interactions with the participating youth and provided information about different employment opportunities and recruitment procedures.

Addressing the candidates, District Magistrate Vishal Mishra extended his best wishes for their future and emphasized the important role of young people in the development of the country. He encouraged the youth to channel their energy, skills and talent in a positive direction and contribute to the progress of society and the nation.

Mishra further said that the active participation and contribution of the country’s youth would be important in achieving the goal of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.

The job fair served as a platform for youth in Rudraprayag to directly engage with employers, understand available career opportunities and participate in the recruitment process.
