The weather is likely to change in the hilly districts of Uttarakhand on Wednesday. According to the forecast issued by the Meteorological Department, rain and snowfall are expected in the mountainous regions on December 31st. A yellow alert has been issued for dense fog in the plains.
According to the forecast, light rain and snowfall are expected in some parts of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, and Pithoragarh districts. Snowfall is particularly likely in areas above 3200 meters in the state. This could lead to a drop in temperature.
Meanwhile, dense fog is likely to prevail in the plains districts of Haridwar, Dehradun, Udham Singh Nagar, as well as Champawat, Nainital, and Pauri. This will directly affect temperatures across the state. Looking ahead, the weather will remain dry across the state on January 3rd and 5th.

Air traffic was affected for the third consecutive day at Dehradun Airport. Indigo Ahmedabad arrived at 11:41 AM instead of 7:55 AM, Indigo Bhubaneswar at 12:16 PM instead of 8:25 AM, Indigo Delhi at 12:09 PM instead of 9:00 AM, Indigo Jaipur at 12:24 PM instead of 9:45 AM, Air India Mumbai at 12:42 PM instead of 9:55 AM, Alliance Air Kullu at 11:23 AM instead of 10:05 AM, Indigo Hyderabad at 12:36 PM instead of 11:10 AM, Air India Delhi at 4:46 PM instead of 4:10 PM, and Indigo Pune at 6:39 PM instead of 5:05 PM.
