Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is acting as a “toolkit” for anti-Indian forces being run from foreign countries by raising questions about the Election Commission of India and the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, BJP president Nitin Nabin said on Saturday (October 24, 2026).
The BJP chief was speaking to party workers and leaders during a meeting of the party’s Jharkhand State Executive Committee in Ranchi. He called on people to remain vigilant, alleging that instability is being spread across the country.
“Rahul Gandhi is working as a toolkit for anti-national forces, which is being operated from abroad. He raises questions on the ECI and SIR. I want to ask Rahul Gandhi and the Congress that, when full time was given to file claims and objections on the voter list, how many Congress workers filed complaints under this process? In fact, they have no concern for the people of the country, they are only concerned with protecting the infiltrators,” Mr. Nabin said.
‘No Congress support for Jharkhand students’
While the Congress claims to support students and youth, no Congress leaders have raised their voices on behalf of the students’ movement in Jharkhand, Mr. Nabin said. The Congress is part of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha-led government in the State.
“When the students’ movement was underway in Jharkhand, not a single Congress leader was ready to raise their voice. The people of the country have now recognised this duplicitous character of the Congress, which sits in Delhi and talks about students and youth. During the Congress’s time, mafia rule prevailed in the country’s education system,” Mr. Nabin alleged.
The BJP president asserted that attempts are being made to challenge constitutional institutions and democracy in the country.
“Those who invoke the Constitution should remember that it is the Congress that has done the most to tear apart the sanctity of the Constitution. These people have run the Constitution according to their family. From imposing Emergency to eroding moral values in the country, it is the Congress that has done all this. They have spread anarchy in the country,” Mr. Nabin said.
‘Lotus will bloom in Jharkhand’
He also attacked the Hemant Soren-led State government, alleging that a game of corruption is being played in Jharkhand. He added that law and order has completely failed in the State.
Mr. Nabin expressed confidence that the BJP will once again form the government in Jharkhand, claiming that the party’s leadership is present in every corner of Jharkhand.
“We only need to give it some time for this. I am fully confident that the BJP’s workers are completely ready to bloom the lotus in Jharkhand,” he said.
He gave the example of the BJP’s electoral victory in West Bengal even in adverse circumstances, driven by BJP workers who showed bravery in their struggle, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Recalling that Jharkhand was created by former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mr. Nabin directed the BJP’s State leadership and party workers to resolve to take Jharkhand forward and tighten their belts. No party has given the tribal community as much respect as the BJP, he said, pointing out that India got its first tribal woman President in the form of Droupadi Murmu, under the leadership of the BJP.
The BJP chief held a joint meeting with the party’s district presidents and district in-charges from all 31 organisational districts of the State. Jharkhand BJP president Aditya Sahu, national joint general secretary (organisation) Saudan Singh, State in-charge Gajendra Singh Patel, and the State’s Leader of the Opposition Babulal Marandi were also present.
