A major road accident occurred on Friday in Sirmaur, Himachal Pradesh. A private bus carrying passengers plunged into a 200-meter-deep gorge. Eight people were reportedly killed and five injured in the accident.

This private bus was traveling from Shimla to Kupvi. It was reported that the bus, rolled off the road into a gorge in Haripurdhar, in the Renukaji assembly constituency of Sirmaur district. The bus fell into the gorge just before the Haripurdhar market. It is reported that the bus was packed to capacity. The accident left the bus in ruins. Following the incident, a crowd of people rushed to the scene and pulled out the dead and injured.
