A major accident occurred in Nainital district, Uttarakhand. An out-of-control Jal Sansthan truck collided with a car in the Mallital area. It then crushed two female tourists from Delhi. Both tourists were seriously injured in the accident. Police immediately rushed them to a nearby hospital, where doctors provided first aid and referred them to a higher center.
According to current information, an out-of-control Jal Sansthan truck suddenly rammed into a crowd near Mallital’s old horse stand, crushing two female tourists from Delhi. The accident was so horrific that one woman’s arm and the other’s leg were severely crushed under the truck’s wheels.
Eyewitnesses report that the Jal Sansthan truck suddenly went out of control and collided with a van. The driver was unable to control the truck, and it accelerated toward the roadside crowd. Two female tourists from Delhi, who were passing by, were struck by the truck. The accident caused chaos at the scene. Hearing the cries of the injured, locals rushed to the scene.
Upon receiving the information, Municipal Chairperson Dr. Saraswati Khetwal and a councilor also arrived at the scene. With the help of the people, both women were immediately rushed to BD Pandey Hospital. The hospital’s PMS, Dr. Draupadi Garbyal, stated that both women, suffered serious injuries. After receiving first aid, they were referred to a higher center for better treatment due to their critical condition. Following the accident, a large crowd gathered in the area, raising questions about the Jal Sansthan’s vehicle operations. Police have launched an investigation into the incident and are trying to determine the cause of the accident.
SSI Dinesh Joshi stated that the truck has been seized. The truck driver himself went to the police station after the incident. The accident is currently under investigation. Two tourists, a mother and daughter from Delhi, were injured in the accident. Action will be taken based on their treatment requests.
