Police have solved a robbery case in Jawahar Nagar, Secunderabad, arresting members of a Nepali gang responsible for a house invasion. Key suspects, including a Nepali couple and an accomplice, were detained following the incident on the 12th of this month.

The suspects, Mamata and Ramesh, along with Sabina, were found with stolen gold, silver, and cash. The police revealed that a total of eight gang members were involved in the crime.

The robbery unfolded at the residence of retired professor Muralidhar Mohan, aged 68, and his wife, Dr. Vijayalakshmi, aged 58, in Kaukur Golf Enclave. The Nepali couple, employed as domestic help and trusted by the homeowners, had requested permission to celebrate a birthday.

However, Mamata and Ramesh had secretly brought in additional gang members to carry out the theft. Shortly after midnight, they tied up the couple and raided the house, making off with approximately 75 tolas of gold, 20 kilograms of silver, Rs. 30,000 in cash, and $3,000. The police recovered the stolen valuables and are continuing their investigation into the gang’s wider operations.
