‘Mirzapur: The Movie’, starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Ravi Kishan in lead roles, has made a strong start at the domestic box office. The web series that made its film debut, was off to a flying start, matching early box office predictions.As per early estimates on Sacnilk, the film earned an estimated collection of Rs 24.75 crore net across India on its opening day. With this, the film has reportedly recorded the fourth-highest opening day collection among Hindi films released in 2026.

According to the report, ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’, earned an estimated Rs 24.60 crore net from its Hindi release, while its Telugu version contributed around Rs 15 lakh. While the total India net collection currently stands at approximately Rs 24.75 crore, the film’s estimated gross total has surpassed Rs 29.70 crore.

‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ occupancy

The film managed to rake in the big bucks from across 11,135 shows on Day 1 and recorded an overall occupancy of 42.81%. The report states that morning shows began on a slower note with around 25% occupancy, but the film that was granted an ‘A’ certification by the CBFC, gained momentum through the day, with occupancy rising to approximately 62% during the night shows.

The opening puts ‘Mirzapur: The Movie’ ahead of the Emraan Hashmi starrer ‘Awarapan 2’, which recently recorded a Rs 22 crore net opening last month, at the Hindi box office. However, as per the current figures, the film seems to have fallen a tad short of the Rs 30 crore opening day collection that put ‘Border 2’ on the third spot. ‘Toxic’ and ‘Dhurandhar The Revenge’ hold the top two spots with collections of Rs 55 crore and Rs 99 crore respectively.With its net collection of Rs 24.75 crore net on Day 1, ‘Mirzapur The Movie’ has secured the fourth spot among the highest opening-day grossers of 2026.
