Reporters on the field have confirmed that the singer suffered a heart attack and was immediately rushed to the Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai. Asha Bhosle, born on September 8, 1933, is one of the most celebrated and versatile voices in Indian music, with a career spanning over seven decades. The younger sister of Lata Mangeshkar, Asha carved her own identity with an extraordinary range, effortlessly moving from classical-based melodies to cabaret numbers, pop, ghazals, and folk songs.Her filmography is vast, with thousands of songs across Hindi cinema and several regional languages.
