KTR feels heat as Kavitha’s moves stir political storm: MLA Nagaraju

Wardhannapet MLA KR Nagaraju launched a sharp attack on the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), alleging that recent actions by Kalvakuntla Kavitha have placed Working President Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao under pressure, forcing him to make statements out of fear.

Addressing a press conference at the MLA camp office in Subedari on Monday, Nagaraju, along with KUDA Chairman Inagala Venkatramireddy and Warangal District Congress President Mohammed Ayub, said that the BRS had grown due to the sacrifices of Telangana movement activists but later sidelined and expelled many of them. He criticised the party’s recent talk of reverting to Telangana Rashtra Samithi, stating that people would no longer trust such announcements. He also alleged that key promises, including making a Dalit Chief Minister and providing double-bedroom housing for the poor, remained unfulfilled.

Highlighting the governance under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Nagaraju said the Congress government was working for the welfare of activists and dismissed allegations made by BRS leaders as baseless.

He further claimed that people had already rejected BRS in multiple elections and would do so again in the upcoming Greater Warangal and Hyderabad municipal polls, predicting a massive victory for the Congress party. Meanwhile, Nagaraju also announced the “Walk for Equity Knowledge March” to be held on Tuesday in Hanumakonda district headquarters on the occasion of Ambedkar Jayanti.

He said the march, now in its fourth year, aims to promote the ideals of B. R. Ambedkar and spread awareness about equality, justice, and constitutional values. A bike rally will begin from Hasanparthy, followed by a foot march from KUC Junction to Ambedkar Centre through key roads.

Nagaraju appealed to youth, students, intellectuals, and people across communities to participate in large numbers, stressing the need to rise above party and caste lines. He also called for stringent action to curb atrocities against Dalits and said ministers and public representatives would join the march.
