Since last week, news around Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra 2 has been doing the rounds on social media. Ayan Mukerji has been looking for a studio to fund the project and has started discussions with Jio Studios. According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the talks didn’t materialise.

The report mentioned, “The makers were in discussions with Jio Studios to come on board as the studio partner for Brahmastra 2. However, those talks did not materialise and Jio has now decided against associating with the sequel.”

Initially, YRF is said to have shown interest, but following War 2’s disappointing performance, the studio backed out. The search for a studio partner is said to be underway, and it remains to be seen who will bankroll the project.
