In Hobart, the Indian team chased down the target of 187 runs for 5 wickets in 18.3 overs. Washington Sundar remained unbeaten on 49 off 23 balls, and Jitesh Sharma remained unbeaten on 22 off 13 balls. Nathan Ellis took three wickets for Australia.

Earlier, Australia, batting after losing the toss, scored 186 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Tim David played an aggressive innings of 74 runs off 38 balls, while Marcus Stoinis scored 64 runs off 39 balls.

For India, Arshdeep Singh took three wickets. Varun Chakravarthy took two wickets. Shivam Dubey took one wicket. Arshdeep was named Player of the Match.

The men in blue went behind 0-1 in the series after losing the second match by four wickets. The first T20I was washed out. The fourth match will be played on November 6 in Gold Coast.
