HNB Garhwal University declares UET-2026 results

Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (a Central University) has declared the results of the University Entrance Test (UET-2026-27) for the 2026-27 academic session. University authorities stated that candidates can view their results by visiting the official admission website and entering their entrance test roll number and date of birth. The university has urged all candidates to regularly check the official website and admission portal for updates regarding the subsequent stages of the admission process. The entrance test for admission to the 2026-27 academic session was successfully conducted at various centers from June 17 to June 20, 2026. With the declaration of results, the next phase of the admission process is set to begin soon.

The university noted that a minimum of 40% marks was mandatory for General category candidates, while 35% marks (inclusive of a 5% relaxation) were required for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (OBC – Non-Creamy Layer). Additionally, an extra 5% relaxation in the prescribed minimum eligibility marks has been granted to currently enrolled university students to encourage continuity in higher education.

The university clarified that the UET-2026-27 results are valid solely for admission to the 2026-27 academic session. Dr. Pritam Singh Negi, the University Entrance Test Coordinator, stated that a total of 13,900 applications were received for admission to over 101 courses across the university campus and affiliated colleges. Of these, 9,786 candidates were declared successful, while 2,276 candidates remained absent from the examination.

He further mentioned that during the entrance test for the LL.B. course, a candidate at the Dehradun center was found using unfair means; consequently, the university debarred the candidate from the examination in accordance with the rules. Dr. Negi stated that, in addition to postgraduate courses, candidates seeking admission to B.Ed., B.P.Ed., LL.B., and B.Lib. programs—and who have qualified in the entrance examination—must mandatorily register on the Samarth portal and select their preferred university campus or affiliated college.

A detailed notification regarding registration, option selection, and the counseling process on the Samarth portal will soon be issued by the Office of the Dean of Student Welfare. The university administration stated that all entrance and other examinations conducted by the university are carried out with complete transparency and confidentiality, in accordance with established regulations. Prescribed standards have been strictly adhered to at every level to maintain the fairness and credibility of the examinations. The university has urged all candidates to rely solely on information available on the official university website and admission portal for details regarding the admission process, registration schedule, counseling, and other important updates, and to complete the admission process within the stipulated timeframe while following the guidelines issued from time to time.
