Monsoon showers are showing no signs of respite in Uttarakhand. Due to which rivers and streams are overflowing at many places. Roads have been damaged at some places and at some places people’s homes have also been damaged. The damage is more visible in the hills. Heavy rain is expected in the next few days. In view of which, holidays have been declared in schools for two days in Chamoli and Almora. Whereas, one day holiday has been declared in Bageshwar.

Schools will remain closed on 13th and 14th August, 2025 in Chamoli, Almora
Actually, a forecast of heavy rain has been issued by the Meteorological Center Dehradun. In view of which, holidays have been declared on 13th and 14th August in all schools (from class 1 to 12th) and Anganwadi centers in Chamoli and Almora districts. Under which, two days holiday has been declared in government, non-government and private schools in view of the safety of students. At the same time, there will be a holiday on one day i.e. 13th August, 2025 in Bageshwar district.

Heavy rain alert on 13th and 14th August
The Uttarakhand Meteorological Center has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in some places of Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Bageshwar districts on 13th August. Whereas, there is also a possibility of extremely heavy rain at some places. In such a situation, a red alert has been issued as a warning in view of heavy rains.
