Guwahati comes alive as King and Bloodywood perform at Yaari Jam concert

Guwahati: On a high-energy night filled with music, lights and loud cheers, Guwahati witnessed a rare coming together of pop and metal as the House of McDowell’s Soda Yaari Jam tour rolled into the city.

Fans packed the venue to watch two very different musical worlds collide—India’s pop star King and global metal band Bloodywood—turning the evening into a celebration of friendship and live music.

Produced and promoted by TribeVibe Entertainment, the Guwahati stop was part of Yaari Jam’s larger journey across India, and it lived up to the promise of excitement and togetherness.

The night began with King, who quickly took control of the stage with his easy charm and hit songs. As tracks like Maan Meri Jaan, Tu Aake Dekhle and Teri Na Ho Saki played, the crowd sang along, phones in the air, creating an atmosphere that felt both festive and emotional.

His performance struck a strong connection with the audience, especially younger fans who knew every word.

As the evening moved towards its peak, Bloodywood took over and changed the mood completely. With thunderous sounds, powerful visuals and hard-hitting lyrics, the band delivered an intense set featuring songs such as Bekauf, Danadan and Halla Bol.

Their performance turned the venue into a sea of headbanging fans, blending metal with Indian elements and strong social messages.

Speaking after the show, King praised the Guwahati audience for their energy. “Guwahati showed up with pure love tonight. The energy, the voices and the vibes were unreal. Nights like this remind me why we do what we do—to connect with people through music,” he said.

Varun Koorichh, Vice President and Portfolio Head, Marketing at Diageo India, said music and friendship remain central to the Yaari Jam idea.

He noted that the tour, India’s largest branded music property, aims to reach 15 cities this year and connect with over one lakh music lovers.

Shoven Shah, Founder and CEO of TribeVibe Entertainment, said bringing King and Bloodywood together on one stage made the Guwahati show special.

“Their contrasting styles created a powerful experience. That is the magic of live music—it brings different tastes and generations together,” he said.
