Government Whip Adi Srinivas accused BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao of ‘hypocrisy’ and ‘corruption’ during the BRS regime, and defended Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s leadership style.
In response to KTR’s allegations against the Chief Minister, he said that speaking recklessly about the CM does not make anyone a big man. “KTR, no matter how many lies or abuses you hurl, it will make no difference,” he said.
The Govt Whip said that people of Telangana had already judged KTR and his family’s rule and the “astonishing loot” that happened was known to all. Pragathi Bhavan was made a fortress by mocking democracy and showcasing the arrogance of KCR and KTR, he charged.
Mr. Srinivas also recalled how the BRS leadership treated Ministers, including the dismissal of a Dalit Deputy Chief Minister without giving any reason. Ministers and MLAs were ill-treated and they cried for some respect, but they only got insults at Pragati Bhavan and in public, he alleged.
He added that unlike KCR, Mr. Revanth Reddy never took sadistic pleasure in ‘ill-treating’ the Ministers or MLAs. He also charged that the Telangana society was aware of how, during the decade-long BRS rule, “honest IAS and IPS officers were sidelined without postings while retired officials were used to run the government.”
Responding to KTR’s criticism of the Telangana police, Mr. Srinivas retorted saying they were acting as per the norms unlike the previous regime.
Continuing his attack, Mr. Srinivas demanded KTR to respond to the serious allegations levelled by his family members, who were “thrown out for demanding a ‘share in corruption money”.
