Foreign nationals’ details must be reported under new law: Hyderabad police

The Hyderabad Police have advised house owners, hotels, lodges, guest houses, homestays, educational institutions and hospitals to mandatorily submit details of foreign nationals staying on their premises under the Immigration and Foreigners Act of 2025.

In an advisory issued on June 3, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Golconda Zone, said accommodation providers must submit Form-III (Form-C) online within 24 hours of the arrival of any foreign national, including foreign passport holders, OCI card holders and Nepalese nationals.

The advisory also stated that universities, colleges, schools and training institutes admitting foreign students must furnish details through Form-II, including information relating to admission, enrolment, arrival, departure and discontinuation of studies.

Police said accommodation providers are also required to report the departure of foreign nationals and preserve records for at least one year from the date of submission.
