The State Coordinator of Tamil Nadu Nature Food Producers Federation and Chairman of Cholanaadu Farmer Producer Company, Senthilkumar Maruthamuthu, called on Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, and briefed him on the Federation’s activities to improve agricultural income and support sustainable farming.
A press release said Mr. Maruthamuthu told the Governor that the Federation had trained and secured the livelihoods of more than 22,000 farmers across 25 districts, driving a 30% increase in agrarian income.
He also spoke of the expansion of 930 acres of chemical-free zones across Chengalpattu, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, and Kanchipuram districts, and the distribution of 11.4 tonnes of 21 traditional varieties of seeds.
