Traffic on the Mussoorie State Highway has been restored for small vehicles on the third day of the disaster. Following the disaster, the Dehradun-Mussoorie traffic route has been reopened for small vehicles, while heavy and large vehicles are currently limited. The administration made this decision based on weather and road conditions. Several major roads in various areas of the city remain completely blocked: Kimari Road in the Cantonment area remains closed.
Following the construction of a Bailey bridge near Kuthalgate, a joint team of the Public Works Department (PWD), the Transport Department, and the police conducted a safety audit of the road. It was determined that the highway is currently safe for traffic. However, for the safety of passengers, vehicular movement has been restricted between 7 pm and 6 am until further notice.

Based on the safety report of the joint inspection, vehicular movement was permitted on the road. Loads up to 20 tons are permitted on the Bailey bridge.
