Citys Air Quality In Very Poor Category, With Several Areas In Severe; Check Area-Wise List

Delhi recorded an overal Air Quality Index (AQI) of 358, placing it in the ‘very poor’ category, at 6:05 am on Wednesday, according to data from the Central Pollution Control Board’s (CPCB) SAMEER app.

Air quality across the national capital remains “poor” to “severe”, with most locations falling in the “very poor” category.

CPCB AQI Classification

As per CPCB standards, an AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 satisfactory, 101 to 200 moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 very poor, and 401 to 500 severe.

Delhi Weather UPdate: Cold Wave Conditions Presist

Meanwhile, cold wave conditions persist in the national capital, with temperature recorded at 5 degrees Celsius on Wednesday at 5:30 a.m., as per the India Meteorological Department.

Cold conditions are likely to persist in the coming days, with the IMD issuing a yellow alert for cold conditions and fog.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a cold wave occurs when minimum temperatures drop significantly below normal, making nights and early mornings intensely cold.
