Prayagraj: The citizens of Sangam city on Sunday said that the Union Budget would open new possibilities for religious tourism in the city.State president of Confederation of All India Traders Union Mahendra Goyal said that the govt’s Budget was a glimpse of a self-reliant India, prioritising medium-sized industries . The announcement of an investment of over Rs 2,000 crore in the MSME sector clearly showed that the govt’s focus was on small and medium-sized industries, he said. The govt’s commitment to the development of Tier-2 cities, as reflected in the Budget, showed that the govt wanted to develop towns near rural areas to prevent migration . .Chartered accountant Vaibhav Pahadia said that special emphasis was given to the development of temple towns and the govt allocated Rs 5,000 crore for this.
