Hyderabad: The streets of Jubilee Hills turned into a sea of pink on Thursday evening as the BRS held a massive rally across Yousufguda, Krishnanagar, and Venkatagiri as part of its bypoll campaign for which polling is scheduled to be held on November 11. The foot rally which lasted for over two and a half hours, drew large participation from women, youth, minorities and the party supporters waiving pink flags and raising slogans of “KCR Zindabad” and “Gopinath Amar Rahe”.
The spirited rally began near Sri Sri Sri Pochamma temple in Yousufguda Basti and wound its way through key localities including the Congress election office, Krishnanagar, Jama Masjid Mohammadi, and Venkatagiri before culminating at Green Bawarchi. BRS Parliamentary Party Deputy Leader Vaddiraju Ravichandra, former Ministers Gangula Kamalakar and T Padmarao Goud, MLC Pochampally Srinivas Reddy, MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy, former MLA Peddi Sudarshan Reddy among others led the political rally.
Adding to the festive mood, former MLA and artiste Rasamayi Balakishan performed from the campaign vehicle, energising the crowd. Women in large numbers held placards questioning the Congress government over its unfulfilled promises of scooties, Rs 2,500 financial aid for women, one tola gold under Kalyana Lakshmi/Shaadi Mubarak, and other pending promises.
The party leaders urged voters to elect BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha by casting their vote on third number in the first ballot.
