A bomb threat targeting the Cliff House, the official residence of the Kerala Chief Minister; and the Thiruvananthapuram District Court, has prompted a high-alert response in the Kerala capital on Monday (September 8, 2025).

The Thiruvananthapuram City police have dispatched its anti-sabotage and other squads to the premises.

The threat message was received via e-mail addressed to the district court.

According to the police, the threat message references certain issues related to Tamil Nadu politics.

Security has been intensified in and around both the locations.

No suspicious objects have been recovered so far.
