During the promotions of Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, Anil Ravipudi made an interesting remark about his acclaimed action drama Bhagavanth Kesari. The hit machine felt the film could have created wonders had it released at the right time.

“I wanted to do something out of the box with Balayya garu. Bhagavanth Kesari is the script I worked the hardest on in my career. When the film released, Chandrababu Naidu garu was in jail and fans were in a depressed mood. However, the common audience supported the film and made it a hit. It should have been a bigger hit,” said Anil Ravipudi.

He added that the National Award recognition and Thalapathy Vijay remaking his film in Tamil as Jana Nayagan helped him move past the disappointment. The action drama starred Kajal Aggarwal, Arjun Rampal, and Sreeleela in key roles.
