Bandi Sanjay Vows Lifelong Fight for Hindu Dharma

Karimnagar: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar delivered an emotionally charged address to thousands of saffron cadre and citizens at the ‘Hindu Ekta Yatra’ event organised at Vaishya Bhavan in Karimnagar, On Tuesday. Accompanied by the Jagadguru Shankaracharya Hampi Peethadhipati Sri Vidyaranya Bharati Swami.

Addressing the gathering, Bandi Sanjay declared that the blood of Karimnagar flows through his veins and recalled his humble beginnings as an ordinary party worker who fought for the people street by street. He thanked the people of Karimnagar and expressed pride over hoisting the saffron flag atop on the Tower circle and for the overwhelming response to the yatra, stating that the chant of Jai Shri Ram is what protects Hindu dharma.

He recalled that during the padayatra, earlier even while carrying a cardiac stent, he walked 1,600 kilometres in solidarity with the people of Telangana. He said that despite facing stone attacks from the then-ruling powers, 109 cases filed against him, and imprisonment, he never wavered in standing by those in need.

In one of the most candid moments of his speech, Sanjay acknowledged his failure to give time to his son. “That is my mistake and I ask for forgiveness,” he said. He made clear, however, that he does not defend any wrongdoing, urging his son to prove his innocence before the law. “I respect the judiciary and will abide by whatever the court decides,” he added, calling the attempts to portray his son as a criminal politically motivated.

Reacting to what he described as an attack on his family, he declared, “I will use that very fire to burn down the corrupt system and break open the fortresses of corruption and conspiracy.”

He assured the gathering that neither he nor his workers would be intimidated, and that anyone who troubles his family or cadre will face consequences. Closing on a resolute note, he pledged to carry the saffron flag through every hardship and work for Hindu dharma till his last breath
