The poetry collection A Circus of Quiet Thoughts by Babita Paul was formally launched on Sunday evening at Steel House, Athgaon, before a literary audience in the city.
The event was attended by Dipak Sarma, Shaikh Md. Sabah Al Ahmed, Bishaldeep Kakati and Dr Mantu Paul. An interaction with the author was moderated by Jeet Pathak, who discussed the themes and creative process behind the collection. Rahul Rohan Paul was the master of ceremony and conducted the proceedings. Performances by Devika Das and Devansh Dey formed part of the programme.
The gathering brought together writers, readers and poets, who reflected on poetry, creativity and the emotional landscapes explored through writing. The discussion examined personal expression, silence, introspection and the complexities of human experience, themes that are addressed in the collection.
A Circus of Quiet Thoughts presents poems centred on inner worlds, fleeting emotions and internal reflection. The collection uses imagery and introspective verse to explore personal experiences that resonate across contexts.
