Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu landed in New Delhi Friday with a long wish list, seeking central support for the state’s projects. During his two-day visit, he will have a series of meetings with Union ministers of Finance, Jal Shakti, Defence, and Electronics and IT. Naidu’s focus will be on centre-state coordination for infrastructure development, renewable energy, and water resource management.
Discussions on the implementation of new criminal laws and administrative preparedness, and participation in NITI Aayog’s Governing Council to present Andhra Pradesh’s policy roadmap are also on the cards. The chief minister is looking for funds for capital city Amaravati, Polavaram project and various other irrigation projects in the state, apart from investments in electronics and IT and the renewable energy sector.
A statement from Naidu’s office said that during this high-level visit, the chief minister will hold a series of strategic meetings with senior Union ministers to present the state’s development priorities and mobilise central support across critical sectors.

His first meeting on Friday is with Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Venkatesh Joshi to explore collaboration in green energy projects. Naidu will meet Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to discuss Andhra Pradesh’s strategic defence and aerospace initiatives. His meeting with C R Patil, Minister for Jal Shakti, will focus on water infrastructure and pending irrigation proposals.
He will meet Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (independent charge) for Science and Technology, to discuss research, innovation, and industrial science collaborations. Naidu will also be meeting Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman later in the day to seek support for Andhra Pradesh’s financial roadmap.
Besides, he will attend the review meeting chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the implementation of new criminal laws across states. Naidu will also see Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Electronics and IT, to deliberate on digital infrastructure and Andhra Pradesh’s role in the future tech economy.
On Saturday, Naidu will attend the 10th Governing Council Meeting of NITI Aayog where he will present the state’s reform-oriented governance model, highlight key development initiatives, and seek strategic cooperation from the Centre and states to advance inclusive and sustainable growth.
