Vizianagaram district administration is planning to acquire around 5,000 acres of land for the establishment of IT parks between Bhogapuram airport and Rajapulova junction with the government keen to encourage software industries in and around the international airport which would be ready within a year.
Vizianagaram Collector B.R. Ambedkar and in-charge Joint Collector S. Srinivasa Murthy and other officials recently visited the airport region and observed that around 754 acres of land is readily available for the IT parks.
The government suggested that at least 100 acres of block needed for each IT park which would be developed on a par with national standards. Mr. Ambedkar directed the revenue officials to identify government lands in Bhogapuram and Rajapulova stretch and take steps to acquisition of private lands if needed.
The proposed IT parks should have appraoch road facility to National Highway-NH 16. The officials hoped that the IT companies would like Bhogapuram region with the access to international airport and easy connectivity to both Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram cities.
