A political rift has emerged within the alliance over the projected candidate for the Prime Minister post in 2029. While several leaders and ministers have proposed an alternative leader for the national role, their key ally has strongly rejected the stance, reiterating that their party leader remains the sole face for the opposition. Representatives from the allied party dismissed the leadership claims, describing the statements as fan club behaviour and noting that top leadership has not officially endorsed the move. Allied ministers have also warned of resigning from the cabinet if their leader is not backed for the top post.
