418 Picking Up, Fauzi Elevation Scene Changed: Producer

Mythri Movie Makers has produced 418, a spine-chilling horror film presented by Prashanth Neel, which arrived in theatres this week.

The film has received encouraging word of mouth and is raking in the moolah during its first weekend run.

At the film’s first press meet, director Kirtan Nadagouda revealed that he had originally written the story in Kannada.

“The producers at Mythri Movie Makers felt that making the film in Telugu would help it reach a wider audience. So, we decided to make it in both Telugu and Kannada. Fear has no language barrier, which is why we decided to release the film in five languages.”

Mythri Shashi revealed that the film has achieved breakeven.

“The premieres were houseful, with audiences appreciating the experience. Even yesterday’s second shows witnessed full houses. The number of shows is increasing, and the film has achieved its breakeven mark today.”

Producer Naveen Yerneni expressed happiness over the film’s response.

“The collections are increasing day by day. This is the first horror film from our banner. It is also our first film to be released without an audio launch or a pre-release event. Scoring a hit with young talent gives us immense satisfaction and a special high.”

Producer Ravi Shankar appreciated the team for delivering a technically accomplished film on a limited budget.

“Prashanth Neel was very confident about the project from the beginning, and the premieres received a good response. We believe the film will have a theatrical run of three to four weeks. The movie is picking up slowly, and we are expecting bigger numbers on Sunday.”

The producer also addressed the delay in the release of the Fauzi glimpse and made an interesting revelation about the hero elevation scene.

“The final shot, which was meant to elevate the hero, was originally planned differently. However, a delay in the CGI work meant that we had to replace it with another shot. Nevertheless, we are happy with the response the glimpse is receiving.”

He also disclosed that Ram Charan and Sukumar’s film will be launched on November 1.
